Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all you heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straights and plain your paths”. Proverbs 3:5-6
Too often Christians expect life to be perfect after they are saved. It does not happen that way.
God wants us to have a good life. However, there are times when we will endure hardships. These challenges will test our spiritual character. Through trial and testing, God is there to help us get through, even grow spiritually because of those challenges that we face in life.
Our job in all of this is to keep plugging away and in the strength of the Holy Spirit, to be all that we can be for Him. We must always accept our life as it is, with its troubles and trials, and make the best of it. It will shape us and mold us into that beautiful vessel we have talked about so many times.
Today, God is still chipping away, always shaping and molding us to be transformed more into His likeness. It takes time and patience for the potter to work out the flaws in us. Until then, we keep on keeping on in His strength and thank Him for the process. When we surrender our lives totally to God, then it does not bother us when we don’t get the things we want. God knows always what is best for us.
