“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”Lamentations 3:22-24
The picture you see above is of a simple, purple wristband. However, it has a lot of meaning to me. I wear it in memory of my daughter, Shelly, who is safely home with our Lord. The wristband says: “Wage HOPE. Fight Pancreatic Cancer.”
Today, I am reminded of the HOPE that I have through my relationship with Jesus Christ. This HOPE means that no matter what I face, He is with me. I take comfort in the fact that He will never leave me, as I am assured of life everlasting when my time here on earth is over.
If your world is feeling somewhat hopeless today, please don’t lose HOPE. With HOPE always comes possibility and when we come before the Lord, we will have renewed HOPE for a better tomorrow. Pray BIG and watch your HOPE in Christ rise to a higher level. He will meet you at your point of need and give you strength for today and bright HOPE for tomorrow! What a great way to find rest as we begin our day knowing that it is in Christ alone where true HOPE is found.
Happy Resurrection Day! He is risen! He is risen indeed!
In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
