“Nothing on earth compares to knowing God in a way that changes you.” Susie Larson
“Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:5
The above quote resonated with me this morning and I responded with a hearty, Amen!” It reminded me of how God is ready and willing to change each of us through a right relationship with Jesus Christ. He will bring needed peace and stability to every aspect of our life, if we’ll let Him. His ways are good, and they are everlasting.
Many years ago I wrote the simple lyrics from a song in the front of my Bible. (See picture below) I had heard the Dove Brothers sing these lyrics from their song entitled, “I’ve Been Changed.” These words serve as a testimony not only for me, but to all who have been changed by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I will remain forever thankful for how God has changed me and how He continues His good work in my life, to make me a better representative of His Son, Jesus. I pray that you, too, have been changed in this way. Always remember that Jesus is as close as the mention of His name. He knows where you are in life. He knows your burdens, your struggles, and your heartaches. He will never turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to all who seek Him. He is so faithful! His peace is the calm we are able to have as we walk through this chaotic world. To me, that’s the Good News of the day!!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You alone are worthy of our praise! Today, and every day, we want to give you all the honor and glory that You deserve. Thank you for changing us through Your wonder-working power! I can never thank You enough for the change You have brought about in my life, always gently pushing me closer to Yourself, helping me each day to stay by Your side—my safe place. Thank You so much for walking with us, and for catching us when we stumble or try to do things on our own merit or in our own strength. We confess today that without You, we fail miserably. Thank You for loving us so much that You stand ready to continue helping us grow into good representatives of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray this in His name and for His sake. Amen.
