“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17(NIV)
The Scripture above is one of my all-time favorites. What a great mental picture of God’s never ceasing love for us it paints!
During our days here on earth, all of us experience both elation and immense heartache. We live through circumstances we’d never have dreamed of—those that require every ounce of faith and strength we have, and then some. We are all human and continue to struggle with the cares of life at times. Our circumstances may differ, but we are all in the same imperfect boat called life. Our similarities are more alike than our differences. We have varying dreams whatever our age. As Christians, we aren’t perfect by any means, but we try to be an image bearer of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
There is so much Good News today, even though we are tempted to only see the negative things that surround us. I am so thankful that with God, nothing has or ever will change. Not Him, His Word, or His love for us. That’s enough to bring peace no matter where we are in life at this moment.
Today, I am thankful for God’s hand of mercy taking hold of mine and bringing His peace and direction to the forefront again and again. He’s just so willing and good like that. I pray that it is the same for you. Through every burden, every care, and every trying circumstance, you will see His hand guiding you and helping to make you strong. May you never feel far away from His love and care.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, it is impossible to fully know the enormous amount of love that You display for Your children. We simply take this by faith knowing what You’ve done for us in the past, You will do in the future. You are present in every breath we take, every thought we think every song we sing. Lord, we have learned that it is only You who can bring us lasting peace. Thank You for Your great love and thank You for making a way for us to bridge the gap with You. It is through Jesus Christ, our Savior, and Lord that we have been gifted a hope that offers peace beyond measure and an assurance that this isn’t all there is to life. We have an eternal home not built by human hands but fashioned from the hands of a loving Father who thought of every detail, small and large. For this and so much more, we thank You. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
This really spoke to me. What happened was that the relationship with one of my sisters isn’t the best. however, I am hopeful that the Lord will restore the relationship one day. We were such good buddies at one point. She even chased after my dream and did my dream. So, I’m here and I have confidence in the Lord that the Lord will restore the relationship between my sister and I. The Lord is good and this blog post just reminded me of her. Thank you for sharing this. May the Lord bless you
Thank you so much for your comment. I am very sorry that you and your sister are experiencing difficulty in your relationship. May God restore the closeness between you two. With Him, all things are possible. Keep hope alive, have faith, and stay close to His heart. He will see you through. God bless you and may He give you His peace, joy, and comfort. I’ll be praying for you. ✝️
