“I look unto the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Our world has seemingly been turned upside down these last couple of years. Many people are going through challenges with aging parents, their own illnesses, job loss, issues with adult children and/or grandchildren, virtual school challenges, fear of the times in which we live, and a host of other difficulties. I hope that the following truths will bring comfort to all women who read this, and that God will make us women filled with His love and peace.
“A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…But a woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman walks sure footed…
But a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she
will become strong.
It is definitely in the journey where we become stronger.” Sharon Simani
May each person reading this find rest and peace as you take your burdens to the Lord today. Rest assured that He will never fail to be by your side. He will strengthen you for wherever your spiritual journey takes you.
Thanks for the reminder of where our true strength comes from.
Thanks, Jackie! As women, we need this reminder quite often. I do, for sure!!
