“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31
I am so thankful that Jesus provides a wellspring of living water—the perfect place to daily renew our physical, emotional, and spiritual strength. While we may become parched in a dry land–a season of life that’s very draining, we are never without the refreshment of His wonderful living water.
Just as we need water to hydrate our bodies on a continual basis, it is also necessary to drink regularly from God’s Word, pour out our hearts through conversation with Him (prayer), and encourage one another.
God will renew us day by day as we wait and lean upon Him.
He will guide us to be a blessing to others along the way because of our own life experiences.
We need not waste our tough times or keep them to ourselves, rather we are called to offer words of hope and encouragement to others.
Jesus is always there to guide, provide and protect us! Many people need to hear this Good News. Why not watch for those types of opportunities today as the Holy Spirit leads you.
Father God, I am so thankful for the privilege of waking up this morning—for the gift of life. Thank You for a good night’s rest. While our bodies need rest, You never sleep nor slumber. How comforting to know that You have a watchful eye on us at all times. Help us this day to honor You and serve You with gladness. Give us strength to lay aside all that so easily besets us. Place others in our path that we might share all that Jesus offers them. Prepare hearts with the desire and conviction that Jesus will save them from their old way of life. This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen
