During our walk of faith, no doubt we have all questioned God’s timing in certain situations. Of course, we would prefer that He answer our prayers instantly. God, however, has His own timetable. His timetable is spiritual and consistent with what is best for us. Because He knows what we need and when we need it, who better to determine how and when to act on our behalf than our Heavenly Father?
Scripture provides comfort for those times when we feel that God has forgotten us. Isaiah 49:16 states, “See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” Just as He tells the children of Israel that He has not forgotten them, how comforting to know that He remembers us and hears us when we pray. He constantly acts on our behalf even when there are no outward signs of an answered prayer.
In times of uncertainty, may we always be assured that God has heard our prayers. He is the perfect Father and He will always take care of His children. Our prayers will never go unheard.
